PROSE: "ZINDAGI EK SAFAR HAI SUHANA"
Life has been great, but am I really living?
Does my so-called life revolve around counting days, listening to Rahman on a good day, and One direction on a bad one?
Or writing something that has already been written, or forming opinions on something that has already made the rounds on the internet?
Or forcing my brain and heart to coordinate themselves in order to write on days when I feel like prose is a refuge, or maybe an excuse for people who don't know how to rhyme better?
Life has been great, but does it practically sound the same too?
Does my so-called life revolve around reading biographies of people and copy-pasting their ways on a good day and disliking them on a bad one?
Or cribbing out something that is already a blazing issue in the market, or purchasing something only when the public discarded it from the trend and it's not a vibe anymore?
Or forcing my brain and heart to coordinate themselves in order to fake feeling happy on days when I feel like happiness is indeed not a relative term for everyone; it’s the ability of a soul to act the same in every situation, or is this an excuse to stand out?
Life has been great, but am I living it for the sake of someone else?
Does my so-called life revolve around having a comparative analysis between pieces of Takashi and Haruki Murakami on a good day and disliking them both on a bad one?
Or wishing for something that has already been asked for by someone else, or waiting for someone to text me that some random things reminded them of me?
Or forcing my brain and heart to coordinate themselves in order to keep completing those poems that talk of unspoken tragedies and prewritten destinies?
Life has been great, but does my soul feel the same?
Does my so-called life revolve around watching Martian repeatedly on a good day and Ae Dil Hae Mushkil on a bad one?
Or mixing Pahadi's playlist with Prateek's, or completing the list of 101 reasons to stay alive?
Or forcing my brain and heart to coordinate themselves in order to focus on quiet birds on round flights and jumping turtles & dancing peacocks during rain.
